Media and briefing information

Make FASO understandable without making it more certain than the evidence.

This page provides language for reporting on FASO’s purpose, founder-led work, validation being sought and planned institutional development.

Approved public summaries

Use language that describes both the ambition and the present boundary.

These summaries describe FASO’s purpose and institutional role. Use the technical programme page for any current build or operational claim.

One sentence

FASO is being developed as an independent public-interest observatory for reproducible, time-ordered and auditable observation of safety-relevant change in advanced artificial-intelligence systems.

Short explanation

FASO combines governed technical infrastructure and human review to preserve, replay, analyse and explain evidence of discovery, change and drift. Its purpose is to support accountable human decisions with evidence that can be examined and challenged.

What FASO is not

FASO is not a regulator, certifier, artificial-intelligence laboratory, command centre or enforcement body. It does not declare a system safe, judge motive or assign blame. It presents information, supporting evidence and limitations.

Questions FASO can answer

Briefing should distinguish explanation from evidence.

A briefing can explain purpose, methods, safeguards and institutional plans. Technical claims should be checked against the dated status record.

Why FASO?

The public-interest gap between isolated evaluation and durable observation of changing systems.

Where is the technical position?

The current build, operational and validation record is maintained on How FASO works.
